Batik Heaven

We get new batiks every week, and we thought you'd like to see what our batik shelves look like right now!  They are packed, and there's even an entire section of light batiks, which are hard to find!

We love batiks for their rich colors and designs, and how well they blend together.  Feel free to mix them with other fabrics, too, like Edyta Sitar does.

Comment below and tell us what your most recent batik project was (or what you hope your next batik project will be) and win a packet of batik fat quarters!

  1. I recently attended a quilting retreat at Clifty Falls State Park and did a strip quilt with batiks in it! I love your selection of batiks....

  2. My last project with batiks was a jelly roll challenge that I did with a Bali pop - it was great fun and now I need to find borders...must make a trip there soon!

  3. I am working on a teal blue batik quilt for my nieces wedding; most of the beautifyl fabrics came from the Back Door. Love road trips!

  4. I have always loved looking at your selection of batiks, and I hope to do a project with them in the future. I want to make a cathedral window pillow and I think they would be perfect for that project. Additionally, I have seen some patters that have a "stained glass window" look with black sashing. I think the batiks would a make a gorgeous quilt of that type of design.

  5. I am glad to see the lighter batiks. I would like to do Jolene's Star using my favorite blue and purple batiks.

  6. Your selection of batiks is fantastic! I did a T-Shirt quilt for my son with blue, green, and brown batiks. Turned out great. Now I'm doing a T-Shirt quilt for my niece (graduating from IU) in cream and crimson, of course. The batiks blend so well with the T-Shirts. They don't take away from the T-Shirts but add the color you want. Thanks for all the beautiful choices.
