Reproduction fabrics

We've been showing you lots of bright new fabrics, but we are actually known for our beautiful reproduction fabrics.  The latest arrival is Woodlands from Jo Morton.  Deep rich greens and blues are perfect with Jo's Toasty fabrics.  We have the complete line!

Another recent arrival is Judie's Authentic Miniatures.  They're a little more bright and clear than typical reproductions, and we love them!

Fields of Gold from Maywood isn't exactly reproduction fabric, but the deep fall colors and exquisite ink illustrations make them a favorite around here!

Last, here's a fun new quilt Linda made from 1930's reproductions.  She already made this cute mini in red and cream like the designer imagined, and has now recreated it in red, cream, and 1930 pastels.

We have our booth set up in Clarendon Hills, and hope the weather will cooperate through Sunday so we can get home safely!

It's Good to Be Us!

New fabric again today!  From Quilting Treasures, we have Zoe and Zach, the most adorable sock monkeys!  They have coordinates, including stripes, and blend in perfectly with all our other sock monkeys.

The latest Riley Blake fabrics weren't even unwrapped before we had to take a quick pix.  Any little glimpse we get of Spring makes us giddy!

Oops!  We are down to just a couple of our popular Ruffle Apron and had to order more.  Wouldn't the apron look great in our new bright fabrics?

Tomorrow Linda and Teri leave to set up for A Patchwork of America quilt show, presented by the Salt Creek Quilters Guild in Clarendon Hills, IL.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate on Sunday when we return home!

Happy Fabrics

Sara recently completed the cover quilt from Lori Holt's new book, Quilty Fun.  My granddaughter, who is 1-1/2, took one look and said, "Happy!"  That sums it up pretty well!

Sara used a lot of fabrics from Riley Blake in this cheerful quilt. We've got ton lots of playful fabrics in lately, and we think it will make you think Spring!

This is Sewing Box by Gina Martin for Moda.

This is a little softer, but it definitely says Spring!  From Studio E.

We have shelves of minis from Timeless Treasures.  These are the two latest...awwwww!

Todays new arrivals really say Happy.  Literally!

Recent Fabric Arrivals

Wow, we've had lots of great fabric arrive lately!  We're carrying a lot more solids, and we've received new Kona cottons in shades of pink, yellow, several greens, and blues.

Andover has a new set of coordinates called The Neighborhood.  These would be great for totes or small quilts.

Would you like to channel your inner princess?  Timeless Treasures has a new collection of tiny fabrics featuring princesses, castles, and handsome frogs!

Projects from Down Under

We've had a lot of exciting projects lately from Australian designers.  Here are a couple from Natalie Bird:

The Happy Christmas cushion is 12" by 16", and was a lot of fun to make.  Linda stitched the embroidery and whip stitched the English Paper Piecing.  We like how Aussies call these cushions, while we call them pillows!

This is also from Natalie, and it came with the design already printed on the fabric.  What a time saver!  Liz stitched the Santa and Sara put it together for us.

Natalie Bird's company is called the Birdhouse, and she has several other stitchery patterns, English Paper Pieced and embroidered patterns, and some of the cutest books ever!  We carry quite a few, and can order more if you are interested.  www.thebirdhouse.com.au
