Fabric Packs

We've been selling the fabric packs for Lucy Boston blocks for several months now.  They contain one fat quarter for fussy cutting, plus 5 more 10" by 12" pieces of fabric to coordinate.  We thought you might enjoy seeing how we use them.

We took one of the packs that contains our favorite fabric, which is a burgundy floral that looks more like home dec fabric.  We found that like home dec fabric, because of the repeat, it would take more than a fat quarter to do much fussy cutting.  So we just cut the entire fat quarter up and the other coordinates as well.

We did use our acrylic templates to fussy cut one of the other pieces in the fabric pack.  Several of our girls like to arrange and reaggange the pieces until they like what they see, then take pictures with their phone and save the pictures they like best.  They can then use them for reference as they sew the pieces together.  We really enjoy how different all the blocks turn out from the same fabric packet!

Here are four of the many combinations of fabrics that you can use for the Lucy Boston block.  You can see the leftover pieces on the side.

I guess it's time to get stitching!
