EPP Addiction, Jan 2013

Be sure to clock on each picture for the complete view!  It's a new year for English Paper Piecing, and we're all addicted!  Our EPP addiction group met this week and the show and tells were stunning!  Neppie welcomed everyone and showed them what we've been working on.

Mary showed a needle case from the Moda candy project book, and Gladys Allen is making great progress on her Patchwork of the Crosses/Lucy Boston quilt.

Marilyn Cullen made a small Apple Core quilt using leftovers from her daughter's wedding dress. Donna Spain is ready for any trip with stacked trays. She has the bottom tray with cut fabric, the middle tray with glued pieces, and the top tray with supplies for EPP.

Bobbie Mitschelen is working on a project that's a combination of embroidery and EPP, and her puppy is working on her thread collection! The wad of red thread that she's holding is what's left of her beautiful bobbin of 60 weight 2 ply Superior brand Bottom Line polyester thread.

Robyn Brown can't wait to get her cupcake candle mat completed. Made of 1-1/2" hexies, the project can be tailored to be the perfect size for the fabric you choose (click on the picture to see her project!)  Barb Scheib is working on hexie projects in several sizes, in dramatic reds and blacks.

More pictures in part 2!

  1. Next time Gladys Allen shows her Lucy Boston, please take a pic of the back as well. I would love to see which papers she takes out bit by bit.

Fun to have a WHOLE group doing EPP.

  2. Our usual rule of thumb for removing the papers is that once a piece is complete surrounded by other pieces that are sewn in, you can pop the papers out and reuse them. You just need to sew the pieces with paper against paper for EPP.

  3. What kind of glue do you use for your pieces?

    Thanks!
