40th Anniversary Challenge

We challenged our Groovy Girls to come up with projects that use 40 objects.  They brought their projects in to a recent Groovy Girls meeting, and here are their creative ideas!

Linda Whittaker  made 5 easy pieces from bright batik (half of the 40 blocks are showing). Another Groovy Girl brought a purse with 35 yo-yos buttoned on the front, and 5 more on the back. Liz Timmons has 40 hexies, and Connie Wass has. Beautiful basket quilt.

Wanda Smith and Linda Hinsley brought a fun Cat's Meow quilt, and Rhonda Beida brought a terrific I Spy quilt.  Diane Curtiss has Pinwheels made from squares, and Rosemary Allen brought a 1600 quilt made from 40 strips of fabric with 40 leaves on it.

Sue Babij is going in circles, while Kris Ranck managed to fit 40 pieces into her small house quilt. Theresa Graves brought pinwheels with a dark background.

Lynette Reynolds really showed us her stuff with 40 Mountains.  And here are a lot of the projects together on our design wall. What a lot of creativity!  And this was just the Wednesday night meeting!  We'll post Thursday later in the week.
