Latest Sue Daley Quilts

We just realized that we have never posted pictures of our Sue Daley works in progress, and two of them are done!

Butterscotch was a joint effort, with several staffers working on the parts, and our quilter Marilyn doing her magic on the quilting.  This is a great beginner quilt if you just want to get started in English Paper Piecing, since there's just a little EPP, and the pieces are appliques to small squares, then the parts are sewn together.

Cassie's Quilt is a beautiful quilt with fussy cut dresdens, appliqued hearts and flowers, and appliqued borders on some of the blocks.  Again, the EPP is appliqued to small blocks, then they're cut out in a fancy shape and appliqued to the background block.  We think the finished quilt is quite stunning!  Thanks to all our Back Door Girls who worked on it!

Chelsea's Quilt is our latest work in progress.  We have Sue's quilt in our shop, and because of it, we've gone from 5 shelves of 1930s fabric to two!  We have more coming, one shipment in April and one in May.  Hopefully it will get here soon!

Chelsea's center was completed by an applique tag team, with Teri doing the prep and Linda doing all the lovely (and invisible!) stitching.  Several of our girls worked on cutting, gluing, and sorting the dresdens and making the yo-yos.  The yo-yos are pinned on here, but they will be stitched down after the top is quilted.  We have another applique border, then a final border with scallops in 19302 fabrics.  We'll  keep you abreast of our progress!
