Indiana Heritage Quilt Show

We have an Artist in Residence!  Nysha Oren Nelson is the featured artist for IHQS 2014.  He works a lot with Zentangle style free motion quilting.  Come and talk to him and see his amazing art quilts!

Here are some of the quilts from the Indiana Heritage Quilt Show.  There are lots and lots of fabrics in the beautiful Log Cabin at left.  Made and quilted by, Judy Mick. it's a real stash buster!

Wendy Hodina's scrap quilt at right also uses lots of fabrics.  We love the warn tones and contrast between the darks and soft tans. Jane Pitt quilted Wendy's quilt.

Jane Pitt also pieced and quilted this terrific Log Cabin quilt.  I wonder if her stash looks smaller now!

Sue McDaniel  made the beautiful chain quilt above, and our quilter Marilyn quilted it.  Nice points in the stars, Sue!  They won honorable mention!

This gorgeous quilt looks like it has the dreaded Y seams, but these are all half-square triangles!  Beautiful quilting in variegated threads and appliqué make this quilt a stunning work of art.  Pieced by Linda Lawrence and quilted by Harriet Carpanini.
